If you work in an industrial position then you really have to watch after your health. You will find that you are working in an industry which has more than its fair share of people with health problems. Unfortunately, a lot of the health problems are entirely avoidable, but it is often down to the employer top make sure that their workers are safe in the job. If you have suffered in any way and you have managed to contract some sort of industrial disease then it is vitally important that you do something about it. There are so many different health problems that you could have got, it is important to be aware of them all.
One of the most common is industrial deafness. This is a condition that obviously happens to people who have been working in an environment which is too loud. Normally in this situation you will be provided with ear protection, but this doesn’t always happen, and hence people suffer.
Equally as common is
vibration white finger. this can happen to people who have been operating power tools without the correct safety provisions in place. This is obviously down to your employer to oversee, so if it has not been the case then you are within your rights to make a claim. You should talk to both a doctor and a lawyer to assess your position prior to making any decision. You should of course try to make a claim, but make sure you are in a position to do so before proceeding.
